Me & My Mé·tier

(I told you I am addicted to assonance and alliteration! Oops!)

William Shakespeare really demotivated me. As I grew up reading the effortless moral science stories and some of the uncomplicated works of Premchand, I always had the belief that I could pretty much
make a readable-enough-to-be-bearable writer of myself. The giant leap from Indian literature to the almost uncanny authors like William Shakespeare, Christopher Marlowe, and Jonathan Swift literally crushed my hopes to tiny pieces. However, resurrection was not far away. Alexander pope breathed a new life into my ashen hopes and like a phoenix, my hopes rose. I ventured into writing in an early age and ever since, I am unstoppable. I have no great creations like short stories or novels. But I still write– because I love it and I believe in people's belief that I have the makings of a fine writer. I write whatever I fancy writing. Nobody usually believes me when I say this but I would still say it in case you are an exception – I loved writing my assignments!

My writing found its direction when I first got a job as a Content Writer. It fueled the fire and gradually I started blogging. Being in the world of content, I was already familiar with content marketing by the time I started penning down my musings for my personal website. I was responsible for every kind content requirement and being the only Content person in my company till a certain time, I wore many hats depending on the burgeoning needs. Being a content writer on papers, I was no more just a content writer, rather handled a team of over 20 freelancers, 2 in-house writers & 12 freelancing interns, took to content marketing, attended to the online reputation management and spearheaded Transtutors blog almost solely for a very long time. My profile began to get increasingly interesting and I started realizing that I, probably, was the world’s happiest person who had her every passion embedded in her job– writing, reading, social networking, working closely with talented graphic designers & erudite product managers, content curating, digital marketing, reaching out to new people and making friends internationally on my way to performing my job. Could I ask for more? Of course not! I have grown into a content marketing specialist and yet I like to stick to the ground and I still call myself a ‘content’ Content Evangelist because that’s what I am originally; I evolved content for my employer and in a process, I evolved
myself . I evolved to a person with a vision and clear head knowing what I have in life and what I still seek to attain.
